Penshurst Farmers Market :- Kent Food and Drink Award's Best Farmers' Market in 2015, and named by The Times
in its Top Ten markets in the UK.
We have a wide variety of stalls offering the best local food and drink, all set against the wonderful backdrop of Penshurst Place. The market attracts a loyal following, both local and from further afield, and plays an important part in the life of historic Penshurst village. Our stallholders all come from within a 35 mile radius and offer a tempting selection of fresh seasonal produce, supplying everything from daily essentials to special occasion treats, picnic food and snacks to perfect gifts, all locally sourced. Particularly popular are our fresh fish from Hastings, free-range meats and game, award winning bread and home-made cakes, deli products and local cheese stalls. You'll also find fruit, vegetables, chutneys and jams, fresh free range eggs, local wines and craft ciders and plants. And bring along your kitchen knives and garden equipment to be sharpened at our mobile knife sharpening stand.
PLEASE NOTE: Most if not all of the stallholders at the market accept cards but there is a limited signal for terminals so come prepared with cash or cheques.

***Changes to the market due to COVID 19***
The market will be continue to stay open during the proposed second period of lockdown with a reduced number of stalls to allow for social distancing and to keep our customers and stallholders safe. At present the market runs a managed one-way system around the market with separate entry and exit points.
Please come ready to queue and shop singly or in pairs. We also ask you not to gather in social groups within the market but complete your shopping as speedily as possible to allow other visitors in. If you can order ahead for pick up this will help us and you to get around the market in as short a time as possible to allow other customers in. We are encouraging everyone to pay by cards where possible but because of a intermittent signal at our site in Penshurst Place, some stallholders may not be able to accept cards on the day. We suggest you come prepared with cheques or cash with plenty of change so you can pay the correct amount just in case.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we open up again and recognise we are all learning this new way of shopping. Most of all we look forward to welcoming you to Penshurst market in 2021.
